By staffing the Model United Nations Institute, you will have the opportunity to share your experiences in Model UN, make long-lasting friendships, and travel across the country. The Model United Nations Institute offers paid summer fellowship opportunities to help provide the best summer experience to the students attending the MUN Institute. You will have the chance to serve in the Diplomacy Fellowship, English Exchange Fellowship, or Residential Fellowship.
Diplomacy Fellowship
For eight weeks, you will be able to develop your coaching skills, improve your teaching abilities, impact the lives of passionate Model UN students, and work alongside other like-minded staff.
The Diplomacy Fellowship is a paid eight-week summer fellowship for top university students or graduates with significant Model UN experience, leadership experience, and interest in educating the next generation of student leaders. Staff will serve as “Model UN Mentors” for the Model United Nations Institute.
For the duration of the summer programs, Model UN Mentors participating in the Diplomacy Fellowship will be provided with housing, 3 meals per weekday, and a competitive stipend. Transportation will be provided between program locations. The position is available for individuals who are authorized to work in the United States.
English Exchange Fellowship
The English Exchange Fellowship is for top university students or graduates with significant Model UN experience, leadership experience, and interest in educating the next generation of student leaders that speak Mandarin Chinese and are learning English. Staff will serve as “Model UN Mentors” for the Model United Nations Institute. At the end of the day, English Exchange Model UN Mentors will review what was taught throughout the day in Chinese, and answer any questions in order to help students bridge the gap between what they did and did not understand in English.
This position will be provided housing, 3 meals per weekday, and a stipend for the 1-2 weeks of programming that we require additional staff. The position is available for individuals who are authorized to work in the United States.
Residential Fellowship
Throughout the summer, Residential Fellows will provide a fun and safe atmosphere for students attending the Model United Nations Institute. The Residential Fellows will run recreational programming during the evenings and organize the weekend trips in each city.
The Residential Fellowship is a paid eight-week summer fellowship for top high school MUNI alumni, university students, graduates, or current teachers with significant experience in safety, residential supervision, and summer camp programming. Residential Fellows will receive training during the first weeks of the summer and will then travel with the team to supervise residential and weekend programming at the other programs.
During the eight-weeks of programming, the Residential Fellow will be provided with housing, 3 meals per weekday, and a competitive stipend. Transportation will be provided between program locations. The position is available for individuals who are authorized to work in the United States.
